Who Doesn't Love Love...
Carriage Lane Elopements is simply built on the foundation that LOVE IS ESSENTIAL! Having the opportunity to fall deeply in love is truly one of life’s greatest gifts. Whether you have been in love many times before or this is your first time, taking the next steps to join together and become one is a unique and wonderful experience. We would like nothing better than to help you build the perfect wedding.
Craig and I came up with the idea of offering elopements and small intimate weddings on our property because it offers everything we wanted in a wedding. Having been married before we were very aware of how stressful and expensive wedding planning can be. When we decided to marry after 9 years together we knew that the most important thing was to focus on the life that we wanted to build together and the reasons we wanted to be married in the first place.
Developing the idea of 'Carriage Lane Down the Lane' was a natural extension to our business. This 'pivot' absolutely did not start out all 'dreamy and fairytale-like', but has undoubtedly ended with some aspects of 'happily ever after.' Collaborating with our local partners in this wedding industry has been a remarkable experience and unexpected silver lining. We are thankful for these relationships and thrilled to be able to offer more options to our couples that still want an intimate gathering - just not quite micro in size.
Creating our Carriage Lane team was easy enough with an in-house officiant. Craig's upbeat and easygoing officiating style plus his 30 or so years in the wedding industry as a professional DJ allowed us to easily develop the stressfree, relaxed ceremony style that has become our trademark. As a fulltime elementary teacher tackling a project like this seemed like the perfect direction to run with my organizational skills. My previous experience as The Executive Director of The Applewood Center, an educational events organization in the GTA and co-owning Katsura Garden Decor curated my planning and management abilities. That attention to detail which has become my trademark helps me to create something uniquely special for each of our couples. Add to that Courtney’s artistic eye and ‘social media savvy’ and we have a pretty talented team. So in 2019, we decided to run with this adventure together.
Combining our expertise and excitement with the knowledge that the wedding world has changed and not all couples want to or can even afford to start off their lives together with an extravagant traditional wedding. Today with such busy fast-paced lives the last thing a couple needs to be saddled with is an enormous debt load and a bucketful of stress which unfortunately goes hand in hand with most weddings.
Allowing Carriage Lane Elopements to plan and organize your wedding allows each and every couple the luxury to focus on what means the most to them while we take care of the rest. Your wedding day should be memorable for all the right reasons.
Wedding Consultation & Day of Coordination Carriage Lane Elopements - Owner
I love what I do, I do what I love. Lucky for me running Carriage Lane fits perfectly with those ideals. As a full-time elementary school teacher my days can be packed full, but honestly meeting with couples and co-planning their wedding day is just delightful. Seeing their excitement on their wedding day when everything unfolds exactly the way they have dreamed makes the busiest days completely worth it.
Officiant - Craig Logan Officiating
Becoming an officiant has been a completely rewarding experience. I am grateful for all of the weddings that I have been a part of and the many venues and industry professionals that I have been lucky enough to work with. Collaborating with my wife Lisa and performing ceremonies for Carriage Lane is really just icing on the cake….wedding cake of course!
Marketing + Communications Manager
As a young entrepreneur developing the media profiles for two related wedding businesses but also allowing them to each have their own unique branding and images has been completely challenging, but entirely fun. I love the pace, the artistic opportunities and the dynamic flow of working with both Carriage Lane and Craig Logan Officiating.
